Jazz Standards Duo with Allen Broyles
In this intimate duo setting, Becky and Allen offer an eclectic program of jazz standards, original songs and, come the holidays, seasonal favorites. With Allen Broyles (Josh Joplin Band) on piano & Becky Shaw (Just Roxie) on vocals & guitar & whatnot, you will not be disappointed.
For more than three decades, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Becky Shaw and pianist Allen Broyles have shared studios, stages and a deep musical rapport. Their collaboration began in a 1994 studio session, carried through years on the cover-band circuit, and has produced three “Hello, Christmas!” albums since 2008. Allen also played on Becky's 2016 solo album, shut down, jump in.
